The fourth quarter of 2021 saw noteworthy trends in the performance of the top 5 social apps on the Android platform in Cyprus. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads and revenue.

TikTok experienced a remarkable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $25.4K in mid-December. Despite fluctuations, the app maintained a strong revenue performance, closing the quarter with around $15.6K in the last week of December. In terms of downloads, the app saw a gradual increase throughout the quarter, culminating in 2.1K downloads in the final week.

Instagram had a varied revenue trend, with a notable spike to $171 in late October and another peak at $152 in the last week of December. Weekly downloads for Instagram displayed an upward trend, with a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.9K in the final week.

X did not generate any revenue during the quarter. However, the app’s weekly downloads showed a consistent pattern, with a slight peak of 766 in late October, and ending the quarter at 666 downloads.

Facebook maintained relatively stable download numbers throughout the quarter, averaging around 550 downloads per week. The app's revenue showed a gradual increase, peaking at approximately $389 in the week before Christmas.

Facebook Lite also did not generate any revenue during the quarter. However, its download numbers showed a steady increase, reaching 556 downloads in the last week of December.
